About Me

When applying for university, i always knew that i wanted to do a BA (Hons) Drama. Originally i had planned to become a drama teacher which was something that i had aspired to do for `a while, which is why i applied for the LJMU drama course, as it covered a large range of different areas of performing arts. i knew this would help me to achieve my end goal. Throughout my time at university i have ultimately grown as a person and changed interests in the field.

From a young age i was always performing, however, i have also had an interest in organisation and management. From high school through to university i have always loved to organise all of my work from timetables through my GCSE's to now planning and organising events. My skills have improved with the guidance of my tutors in university and i now feel ready to finish and begin my next steps. Over this past year i have realised that i can intertwine these interests and make a career out of it. I am a naturally creative person and love to plan but also love working with others to make a vision become reality. This was only further made evident to me after taking the Belbin test which categorised me into 'The Plant' and 'The Team-worker' which fits to the kind of person that i am.

The Events

The third year festival came around and roles for the festival were being chosen, for me this was an easy decision to become part of the production team. i knew that this would allow me to delve into a different area of performance that i had never done before. With already having great organisational skills and experience with working as a team from previous modules on my course. I was keen to become the Events Manager for the festival. I have absolutely loved working on my role in the festival and organising the multiple different events that other students have come up with. In the festival i have been in contact with venues and organisations to create a wider map for the festival which has been great experience for the future.
