A step by step guide to opening night

Whilst being the Events Manager for the third year festival. There are steps that i have learned are necessary to ensure that the event goes well. I created a guide for myself to ensure all of the events have everything they need and everything they need to do before the event.

The Guide

1. when and what is happening?

When do we want the event to happen? What do we want to put on for the event?

2. connections

Who do we need to contact for the event? Do we want to collaborate with an outside organisation? Do we need to source a venue?

3. The plan

How will the event run? what is the running order of the event? Have you made a list of what should happen and at what time?

4. The people

is it just one person running the event or more? Does the event need front of hose staff? Does the event need someone to help with tech?

5. Rehearse

Make sure to leave time to rehearse!

6. The props

what do you need for the event? Are there any props needed? Do ou need to buy these?

The set up

Is it an easy set up or do you need others to help? how long wll is take to set up?

For everything to run smoothly you need to follow these steps and HAVE FUN!
